Committee for Atascadero Public Schools (CAPS)

Our mission is to dedicate ourselves to providing grants to support educational programs for all Atascadero Public Schools through fundraising and donations. To this end, CAPS holds an annual fundraising event that we call our "Evening for Education."

The CAPS 13th Annual Evening for Education “Granting Wishes” fundraiser dinner was held at the Atascadero’s Pavilion on the Lake on Aug. 24, 2019 and was a wonderful success!

With fabulous sponsors, our many generous donors, fun attendees and support from this amazing community, we were able to raise enough to fund $58,000 in grants for AUSD classrooms!

Over the last 13 years, CAPS has been able to give award over $900,000 to AUSD teachers who have written grant applications! THANK YOU FROM ALL OF US AT CAPS! What a great community we live in!

Calling All Leaders!

Looking ahead to 2020, the CAPS team is in search of volunteers to fill several key positions on our Board. We must still fill these positions if we are to hold an Evening for Education fundraiser dinner in August 2020. We have great mentors willing to help the new chairpeople or co-chairs and many people willing to assist those who step into these positions.

Please come to our next meeting to learn how you can help. If you cannot attend the meeting, but are able to help, please contact us.

Meeting Time: Monday, March 16 at 6:30pm

Meeting Location: Greyhound Foundation Office located at 4507 Del Rio Road
